What We Do Best

Areas of service

At Wacanga, we provide a range of services to support victims of domestic violence and their families. Our trained advocates are available 24/7 to offer immediate support and crisis interventions in collaboration with law enforcement. We also offer safe and temporary housing for victims and their families in our shelter, as well as legal assistance for victim impact statements, restitution, protection orders, and family law issues.

Our transportation services are available for court appearances and safe locations. In addition, we offer a Battering Intervention Program for offenders, support groups for shelter residents and the community, and community education programs for outreach and prevention.

We also provide additional support services such as criminal justice support, emergency legal assistance, personal and medical advocacy, assistance with victim compensation claims, emergency financial aid, donations of clothing and food items, and follow-up contacts.
