Wac’ang’a supports victims of domestic violence and sexual assault with a 24/7 crisis hotline, advocacy services, temporary shelter, resource assistance, legal advice, and battering intervention programs.

Leadership & Staff Members

Responsible for overall operations, staffing, budgeting, training, and serving as the spokesperson. Maintains records and coordinates with law enforcement.
Program Director
Manages shelter operations, resident needs, and supervises staff. Coordinates weekend activities and support groups.
Shelter Advocate
Educates the community, forms coalitions, and advocates for underserved populations.
Outreach Prevention Coordinator
Leads intervention programs and maintains relationships with judicial entities.
Batterer Intervention Prevention Facilitator
Supports the director, compiles statistics, and gathers community data.

Wacanga is a dedicated safe haven for women and children affected by domestic violence. We provide emergency shelter, counseling, legal advocacy, and support services to help survivors rebuild their lives.
